Good debut performance! First U.S. Bitcoin Futures ETF Nears $1 Billion in First Day of Trading

Matt Hougan, chief investment officer at Bitwise Asset Management, commented that the strong first-day performance of this bitcoin futures ETF shows that "there is still a lot of money being left out of the cryptocurrency market, simply because there is no suitable investment path."

In addition to ProShares' bitcoin futures ETF, there are other bitcoin futures ETFs in the queue for application. Valkyrie's Bitcoin Strategy ETF is reportedly set to be listed on Wednesday under the symbol BTFD.

The ETF's debut comes as bitcoin prices soared to a six-month high on Tuesday, climbing to near $64,000.
