Google data shows that the term "NFT" has surpassed "Crypto" in global search volume for the first time

Google data shows that the term "NFT" surpassed "Crypto" and "Bitcoin" in global searches for the first time this week, indicating that mainstream interest in NFT (non-homogenized tokens) is rapidly gaining interest among the mainstream public.

The data shows that from Dec. 19-25, NFT search traffic was 42, compared to 39 for Crypto.

When Bitcoin hit a low of $30,000 in mid-July, searches for "Crypto" and "Bitcoin" in Google never recovered to their all-time highs.

As of writing, bitcoin is up 5% intraday to around $51,000, while ethereum is up 3.9% to $4,100.
