Next Generation Internet Coming Soon? The world's first Web 3.0 ETF has filed with the U.S. SEC

New York-based asset manager Simplify filed an application for a Web3.0 ETF with the U.S. SEC on Wednesday.
The ETF filed by the asset manager, called Simplify Volt Web3 ETF, aims to invest in Web 3.0-related Internet companies, including Metaverse Inc. If approved, it will be traded on the NYSE under the ticker symbol Will.
The ETF will not invest directly in cryptocurrencies and their related derivatives, but will invest 10% of its total assets in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, according to the prospectus.
