After plunging 17% in January, Bitcoin regained the $45,000 mark on Tuesday, but as of writing, it has dipped again, with the coin falling to $43,420.
Other cryptocurrencies were flat, with ethereum down to $3,080, dogcoin down 5% to $0.15, fagcoin down 4.55% and The Sandbox edging up 1% to $4.66.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that the agency seized $3.6 billion worth of bitcoin stolen in a 2016 hack of cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex and arrested two suspects in connection with money laundering. This is the highest value seizure ever involving the financial sector by the DOJ.
