Venture capitalists are buying cryptocurrency funds and related stocks in a big way as the hedge is better than traditional risk assets

Data show that U.S. investors saw a net outflow of $7.8 billion from bond funds in the week ended March 9, and real estate funds saw an outflow of $770.7 million in the same period.
Cryptocurrencies have indeed shown some safe-haven properties under the Russia-Ukraine crisis, with such assets performing better than traditional risk assets such as stocks.
Since the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on Feb. 24, bitcoin and ethereum have gained 14.5% and 13.5%, respectively, while the S&P 500 has gained just 3.2%.
As of writing, Bitcoin was at $38,700 and Ether was at $2,550.
