5. Oil prices rebound as U.S. inventories continue to fall


Crude oil prices rebounded due to the energy supply impasse between Europe and Russia and a continued decline in U.S. inventories.


U.S. crude inventories fell again, by 3 million barrels, according to data released by the American Petroleum Institute after hours on Tuesday local time. Later today, the U.S. Energy Information Administration will also release official inventory data.


As of 20:07 GMT (08:07 a.m. EDT), Invesco Investing.com commodity quotes show: U.S. WTI crude oil futures prices rose $2.4 or 2.3% to $106.64 per barrel; Brent crude oil futures prices rose $2.42 or 2.25% to $110.13 per barrel.
