The reason one investor is sure that Ether will reach $10,000
Cryptocurrency investor and content creator Lark Davis said he is confident that the second largest digital currency, ETH, will soar to $10,000 per coin after the release of Ether 2.0.
"Sorry, haters," he continued.
Earlier this week, billionaire Mark Cuban expressed similar sentiments, but unlike Davis, the Dallas Mavericks owner said he was interested in executing a "merger" of Ether - another name for Ether 2.0.
Improvements are expected this summer, but have not yet been verified. It will ensure that the Ether chain switches from proof-of-work to a proof-of-stake consensus system, making it more environmentally friendly than Bitcoin and other PoW tokens.
Since ETH miners will use 99% of the energy and produce fewer ETH tokens, the circulating supply of Ether is likely to drop.
