Opera Crypto Browser is now available for iOS devices such as iPhone and iPad

The browser also features Bitcoin mining protection, which suppresses "cryptojacking" programs that, according to the company, could affect the operation of an iPhone or iPad device. A native ad and tracker blocker, pop-up blocker and an intuitive cookie conversation blocker are other security features.

According to Jorgen Arnesen, Executive Vice President of Mobile at Opera, the crypto browser is designed to capitalize on the growing interest in Web3, both among experienced cryptocurrency users and beginners.

"The Opera Crypto Browser project aims to simplify the Web3 user experience, which is often confusing for mainstream users. Opera believes that Web3 must be easy to use in order to reach its full potential and be adopted at scale."

In addition, the browser provider has enabled support applicable to eight key blockchain ecosystems: Bitcoin, Solana, Polygon, StarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervos Network and IXO. Opera has said it intends to integrate other PoS chains in the future.

Opera recently partnered with Yat, a tool that generates emoji-based URLs or web addresses. Opera's "emoji" allows users to navigate throughout the platform by entering authenticated Yats or a string of emoji in the URL bar instead of letters and words.
