As part of the joint venture, Gulf Energy invests in Binance and BNB

In January, the Thai company revealed its ambition to form a joint venture with Coinan Group through its Gulf Innova Company Limited, primarily in Thailand. The parties expect to complete the deal in the second quarter of this year.

Gulf Innova entered into a shareholder agreement with Binance on April 13 to establish a cryptocurrency exchange, Gulf Energy said in a second filing.

They also expressed their goal of working with local regulators. In the second filing, Gulf Energy said that "upon the formation of the joint venture, it will apply for a digital asset trading license and other licenses from the appropriate agencies."
