Brock Pierce, Puerto Rico's self-proclaimed savior

Notorious Bitcoin leader impersonator Brock Pierce has temporarily stopped impersonating Bitcoin leaders playing the obnoxious leader of this particular cause. "The planets are aligning for Puerto Rico to have a richer and brighter future." Most countries and cities must make significant investments to access the intellectual capital that exists in Puerto Rico. It is the intellectual capital of the financial future," the article quotes him as saying.

On the other hand, Pierce does not seem to have impressed the author.

"Some people are finding him increasingly intolerable, hating his self-appointed "face" of their movements and questioning how much of the $1 billion he promised d donated to the island and related causes have materialized. "I'm an active member of the community, but I don't go around shouting," said Andrew Keys, a crypto whale who migrated to the island a few years ago. "Brock Pierce said he would donate $1 billion to Puerto Rico. We've barely seen it."

Pierce's reaction? "I've put more money into it than anyone I know." I don't know of anyone else on the planet who has made such a commitment. But you know how hard it is to donate money."

Julio Domenech's Local FeelGood Story

When he met cryptocurrency, the 24-year-old "was collecting business cards at a bar for an IT company."

"Now he's a 'millionaire' and just recently returned from a crypto conference in Dubai. "Honestly, it's like a dream," Domenech says. "Crypto has completely changed my life. We're empowered, man. The locals are involved in it."
