Pussy Riot Launches NFT Proof of Protest Against Roe vs Wade Decision

By    13 Jul,2022

The Proof of Protest NFT Collection has just been launched on the Lens Protocol by the Russian feminist protest and conceptual art ensemble Pussy Riot. In light of the Roe versus Wade decision, all earnings from the collection will be used to support reproductive rights.

What is the Proof of Protest NFT collection?

Pussy Riot collaborated with Ksti Hu to produce the Proof of Protest NFT line. The artwork depicts a glass bottle with a “Feminism” label. It is, without a doubt, a forceful protest piece against the Supreme Court of the United States’ verdict that overturned the historic 1973 Roe vs Wade case.

It is not just a strong collection in its own right, but it is also a continuation of past Pussy Riot statement pieces. “Panic Attack,” “Virgin Mary, Please Become a Feminist,” ACAB, “Drink My Blood,” and “Riot Girls” are among them.

The Proof of Protest NFT drop went live today at 2 p.m. EST. On Lenster, a decentralized microblogging and social networking platform driven by the Lens protocol, mining lasts 24 hours.

All proceeds from the Proof of Protest NFT collection will be donated to reproductive rights organizations. In reality, UnicornDAO established a new ETH wallet, LegalAbortion.eth, as a donation hub in addition to Endaoment. Pussy Riot will donate the money to the Center for Reproductive Rights, Fund Texas Choice, Sister Song, NARAL Pro-Choice America, Fos Feminista, and Planned Parenthood, as well as URGE, in partnership with the DAOs.
