On Monday, cryptocurrencies fell across the board, with Bitcoin below $49,000, Ether down 3% to about $4,000, Solana down 7% to about $185, Dogcoin down 5% to $0.166, Shiba Inu down 5.8% to $0.0000346, and The Sandbox plunging 10% to $5.1057.

At midday on December 4, cryptocurrencies suffered a collective "flash crash", with Bitcoin plunging $10,000 in the afternoon, down more than 20% at one point in 24 hours, and Ether also down more than 20% at one point in 24 hours.

In response to the sudden plunge in cryptocurrencies, Miller Tabak equity strategist Matt Maley believes that the plunge in cryptocurrencies may be related to the decline in U.S. stocks.
