Chicagoland launches micro ethereum futures on Monday, closes up 3.4% on first day online

On Monday, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), the largest U.S. derivatives exchange, officially launched micro ethereum (ETH) futures, closing up 3.4% on its first day online. This is the second micro cryptocurrency futures product launched by the CME so far this year.
Similar to the micro Bitcoin futures launched in May this year, the firm launched micro Ether futures on Monday at a size of 0.1 ETH per contract.
