The founders of Bitpanda establish their own venture capital firm

The fund joins the ranks of other billionaire fintech founders who have established investment vehicles. Nik Storonsky, the founder of Revolut, launched a venture capital fund in May. QuantumLight Capital, a new venture powered by artificial intelligence, recently hired a CEO to lead its investments.

Checkout.com In August of last year, CEO Guillaume Pousaz established his family office Zinal Growth. In May, it invested $3 million in DeFi platform Alloy in a pre-seed deal. Hanna Wachtmeister, the CEO of Flat Capital, Klarna founder Sebastian Siemiatkowski’s investment entity, died in March of this year.

Bitpanda itself has struggled in the current crypto bear market, laying off nearly one-third of its workers in June. Since then, it has proceeded to introduce new offerings, such as commodity trading.
