The survey, which polled 2,000 likely voters in early October, discovered that 37% have considered the role of cryptocurrency in casting their vote. The Harris Poll conducted the survey on behalf of Grayscale Investments, a digital asset manager.

A quarter of Americans said that inflation and the general economic climate have increased their interest in cryptocurrency. Approximately half of those who have not yet invested said they will wait until the economy improves.

However, regulation is also essential.

Approximately 80% believed that clearer crypto laws were needed, including 88% of Democrats and 77% of Republicans. Nearly 40% thought the United States lags behind other countries in terms of regulating digital assets in a way that makes trading easy and safe.

Grayscale CEO Michael Sonnenshein said in a statement that the company would be keeping an eye on the progress of the Digital Commodities Consumer Protection Act and the Responsible Financial Innovation Act, as well as any possible stablecoin regulation.
