Dogcoin Army celebrates DOGE Day; here are the highs the coin has reached in the last year

DOGE users proposed Dogcoin Day on crypto Twitter last year, shortly after the initial meme coin reached $0.40. The April 20 date may have been inspired by one of Elon Musk's early tweets, in which he invoked "4/20.

The number is associated with the use of marijuana, but Tesla CEO Elon Musk also used the number 2018 in a tweet announcing his intention to take Tesla private. That number has since become part of the Tesla saga.

Since April 20 of last year, much has changed in the world of Dogecoin acceptance, and even Tesla has begun to accept it.

DOGE's achievements in one year

The most significant price movement in the most popular meme cryptocurrency occurred on May 8, when it reached a new all-time high of $0.7376. It is currently 80.28% below that level.
