Rampant hacking Cryptocurrency insecurity DeFi is the worst hit

By    12 Jan,2022

The cross-chain interoperability protocol Poly Network was hacked and crypto assets totaling $610 million were stolen. This is by far the most serious security incident in the history of the DeFi industry.

After nearly 1 day of communication and resolution, the hackers have now promised to return the stolen assets to the Poly Network team.

Such a huge asset loss reflects the frequent security incidents in the DeFi space, especially cross-chain protocols are more vulnerable to attacks.
